For the best results, every ayous wood panel is primed with a full White Wash base. This guarantees vivid colours and brilliant whites, while still allowing the subtle wood texture to shine through. Prefer a natural version, where white areas remain unprinted and show the wood tone? This option is only available on request via info@photogift.eu and cannot be selected in the online editor.
Plank layout preview in the editor
Your image is divided across planks of approx. 10 cm width. In the editor, you can choose vertical or horizontal orientation and see a live preview of the seams. This makes it easy to position eyes, faces or important elements away from the plank lines. What you see is what you get.
Large format delivery with our own drivers
For sizes from 80×120 cm and larger, we deliver via our own logistics service: twice a week in the Greater Amsterdam region and once a week across the Netherlands and Belgium. We always contact you in advance to schedule a convenient delivery.

Why choose ayous wood?
Ayous wood is the only wood type that is completely knot-free. This ensures that no disruptive knots or dark spots appear in faces or other vital areas of your photo. The even surface creates a smooth, refined look with a gallery-quality finish.
Plank width & sizes
Each plank is approx. 10 cm wide. A 60×80 cm panel in landscape orientation has 6 planks of 80 cm, while a portrait panel of the same size has 8 planks of 60 cm. If your preferred size is not listed online, please contact us at info@photogift.eu.
White Wash or natural?
With White Wash (our standard finish), colours remain fresh and whites stay bright, while the fine wood grain remains subtly visible. A natural finish (without White Wash) is available on request only via info@photogift.eu. In this version, the wood tone is visible and white areas are left unprinted, giving a rustic look that often differs from the original image.

Mounting & suspension
During ordering, you can choose to add a metal hanger. It is securely fixed to the back of the panel and allows for easy and stable wall mounting.
What is ayous wood?
Ayous is a light, soft, knot-free wood with a fine grain. It is stable, easy to work with and highly suitable for printing. Note: wood is a natural product and reacts to humidity and temperature. The seams between planks may widen or shrink slightly, and exact dimensions may vary.
Origin & sustainability
Our ayous wood is sourced mainly from Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana. We use only FSC- and PEFC-certified wood from responsibly managed forests.
