Is the 1500-piece puzzle suitable for experienced puzzlers?

Yes, the 1500-piece photo puzzle (60×90 cm) is a great challenge and particularly popular among passionate puzzlers.

What is the difference between photo prints and photo enlargements?

Photo prints up to 21x30 cm are hand-cut, meaning the dimensions may vary by a few millimeters. Photo enlargements, on the other hand, are machine-cut to exact size – ideal if you're framing the print with 100% millimeter precision.

What is face-mount and what effect do I get?

We bond your razor-sharp print behind clear acrylic. The acrylic adds depth and shine – often used in galleries and premium interiors. Colors appear richer and blacks deeper.

What thicknesses and back plates (Dibond) do you use?

We use 3mm-thick acrylic on 3mm-thick dibond as standard. Exceptions can be made upon request, for example, 4mm-thick acrylic on 6mm-thick dibond.

Acrylic plexiglass can reflect. Is anti-reflective acrylic available at Photogift?

Yes, anti-reflective (anti-reflective) printing is possible when the photo is bonded behind acrylic. This eliminates reflections and maintains the depth of field. Select the option after choosing the format.

What about cleaning and rust prevention?

Use a soft microfiber cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid dry rubbing, abrasive pads, and solvents. Always wipe gently.

What is Dibond and why glue to this material?

Dibond consists of two thin aluminum layers with a plastic core: lightweight, rigid, and dimensionally stable. Bonding it to Dibond creates a super-flat, modern panel that hangs beautifully even in large formats.

What is the difference between gluing onto Dibond or printing directly onto Dibond? Is there a difference in quality?

With bonding, we print the image with our Canon Pro 4000 12-color printer onto high-quality photo paper and bond it to the panel. This provides finer detail and very high color fidelity, which cannot be achieved with direct printing on the material. Bonded photo enlargements are only suitable for indoor use; direct printing is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

What is the most popular mounting option for photos glued to Dibond?

This gallery product is typically chosen for its luxury aluminum profiles; suitable for wall mounting or rail mounting. When wall-mounted, the panel hangs approximately 1.5 centimeters from the wall, making the system invisible. A more affordable alternative is adhesive plates with bumpers; these allow the panel to hang approximately 4 mm from the wall, also suitable for rail mounting.

What is the difference with photo glued to aluminum?

The 1mm thick solid aluminum panel is lighter and more subtle from the side. Because it's a flexible panel, it's limited to a maximum length of 100cm on the longest side. Dibond is thicker and heavier, reaching dimensions of up to 100x300cm.

What does “bonded to aluminum” mean and why should I choose it?

When gluing, we first print on high-quality photo paper for maximum image quality; with direct printing, we print directly onto the panel, resulting in a slightly more matte finish. A gluing photo typically has deeper blacks and finer details. The very thin aluminum plate gives the photo a very elegant look.

What photo print sizes are available?

A wide range of sizes is available, from small to up to 21x30 cm—in both matte and gloss finishes. If your size isn't listed, check out our photo enlargements . We offer even more customization options, and of course, all large formats are also available here.

What quality paper do you use for photo prints?

We print on high-quality, durable 250-gram Epson dry photo paper using 6-color pigment printers. You can choose between a matte or glossy finish, both with sharp colors and details.

How can I quickly order a large quantity of photos in the same size?

First, click the desired format in the price list and then upload multiple photos at once using the multi-upload function. All photos will then be automatically ordered in the same format, which is ideal for series or large print runs.

Are your photo enlargements suitable for framing?

Our photo enlargements are ideal for framing. Thanks to our Summa cutting robot, all enlargements are cut to exact dimensions, so they fit any picture frame! To ensure they never bulge in the frame, have your photo enlargement glued to 1mm PVC. You'll find this option when ordering online. Success guaranteed!

I want to order 20 vacation photos in the same format. How can I do this quickly?

You can upload all 20 photos at once; they will automatically be placed in the selected size. You can then complete the order straight away – quick and easy, without having to select each photo individually.

What is the delivery time for a photo enlargement?

Orders are shipped within 2 working days. If you place an express order before 4 p.m., it will be dispatched on the same working day.

Wie ist das Look and Feel der Fotoposter von Fotogeschenk?

Our photo posters have a semi-matte finish and can be easily attached (and repositioned) using the invisible adhesive strips supplied.

Do you offer volume discounts for larger numbers of posters?

For large quantities of posters, the price per piece drops dramatically. The price per piece depends on the print run. Email info@photogift.eu for a great deal and fast delivery!

Why should I have my photo printed on fine art paper?

Fine art paper has a unique, premium look – ideal when you’re looking for something special. Photos really stand out on this densely structured paper.

How are photo gift fine art prints packaged and shipped?

After printing, the fine art prints are flat-packed between two very sturdy cardboard sheets. These sheets are secured, after which the entire piece is placed in a sturdy, suitable box to ensure perfect transport. Large artprints from 60×90 cm are delivered in the Netherlands and Belgium by our own driver, by appointment.

I would like to have a fine art print glued onto dibond. Can you do this?

Yes, Photogift often glues fine art prints for photographers who are exhibiting or for people who are familiar with the product and would like to display them that way or give them as a gift. The option for gluing to Dibond will appear automatically in the order menu after you've uploaded the photo.

What is the Photo Gift Finaart paper made of?

Our fine art paper is made of 100% cotton fiber and has a finely textured texture. It is known for its excellent print quality, vibrant colors, deep blacks, and longevity.

Why do you offer such thick plexiglass photos?

This has grown historically as a specialist in photo and plexiglass printing since 2012. We often receive unusual requests from photographers and artists. This also applies to the desired thickness; the thicker, the greater the depth of field. But the thinner, the lighter and more stylish the sheet can appear. That's why we've been allowing our customers to specify their plexiglass thickness online for years.

There are many hanging systems for plexiglass; I don't know which one to choose!

Adhesive plates are ideal if you want an invisible and budget-friendly mounting solution (panel floats approx. 5 mm from the wall). Aluminium profiles or pre-drilled holes + aluminium standoff mounts offer a more premium look and a secure installation – placing the panel approximately 15 mm away from the wall.

    How is a photo printed?

We print directly onto the plexiglas using high-resolution UV inks, resulting in a razor-sharp image with rich colours and a durable, glossy surface.

What is the difference between a photo on plexiglass and a photo enlargement glued behind plexiglass?

With the photo on plexiglass, the file is printed directly onto the acrylic, while the other option involves printing the file on our Canon Pro 4000 using high-quality photo paper before bonding the print to the plexiglass panel. Direct printing is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and offers excellent print quality. Bonded printing brings out slightly more detail thanks to the refined printing technique and is only suitable for indoor use. You can find this variant here .

How heavy is a large plexiglas panel and can I mount it using adhesive plates?

Plexiglas prints up to 200×300 cm are possible. These panels are naturally heavier, but still easy to handle at a 5 mm thickness (this thickness weighs approx. 6 kg per m²). For sizes up to approx. 80×120 cm, adhesive plates are sufficient; for larger formats we recommend pre-drilled holes + aluminium standoff mounts or premium aluminium profiles for a safe and stable installation.

Is your photo on plexiglass also suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Our plexiglass prints are moisture- and UV-resistant. For outdoor use, please mount securely with stainless steel spacers on a flat, stable surface. The panel will remain beautiful for years. Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid abrasives or solvents.

Do you offer volume discounts on plexiglas prints?

For larger sizes of plexiglass prints, the prints can be used with a sharp scissor. Email the event to info@photogift.eu for a super interesting offer!

What is the difference between a print on aluminium with a white top layer and a print on brushed aluminium?

A white top layer provides a smooth, sleek finish with bright, colour-accurate prints. Brushed aluminium reveals the metal texture in the white areas of the image, giving it a robust, industrial look. The way light falls on it greatly influences the final effect.

Can I really have my photo on aluminium made in any size?

Yes, you can have your photo printed on aluminium in almost any size – from 10×10 cm up to a maximum of 200 × 300 cm or 150 × 400 cm. Our online editor includes hundreds of standard sizes. If your preferred size isn’t listed, just send us an email at info@photogit.eu.

I am looking for a printing company to produce large quantities of nameplates on aluminium. Is this possible at Photogift?

Yes, we can quickly produce large quantities of aluminium nameplates. We use professional printers and provide custom sizes and quantities, always in high-quality print. For enquiries, please email us at info@photogift.eu .

I would like to have my photo on aluminium made in a circular shape. Is this possible?

Yes, special shapes such as circle, oval or heart are also possible on aluminium – for all square formats. In our editor, you can upload your photo, design or text and instantly see the result. First, choose a square base format, then select your desired shape and click once more to preview it. You can then complete your order or upload another photo if you wish.

Is the photo on aluminium also suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, the Fotogeschenk aluminium print is fully moisture- and UV-resistant and will remain in excellent condition for many years, even outdoors. If you would like an additional glossy protective coating for longer colour retention, please contact us directly , as this option is not available in the editor. The surface can be cleaned using lukewarm water and a soft cloth, without abrasive products.

Why does almost everyone call this product a photo on aluminum when it's printed on dibond?

When Photogift.eu's predecessor, Fotogeschenk, started selling printed sheet materials like Forex, Dibond, and Plexiglas around 2008, there wasn't yet a generic product name for it in the fledgling online market for personalized photo products. Because Dibond has a thin aluminum top layer and consumers were more familiar with aluminum than Dibond, Photogift.eu decided to call the product 'photo on aluminum'.

I would like to order a photo on Forex as a wall circle. Is this possible?

Yes, this is certainly possible. Select a square size from the price list, upload your photo, and then choose the circle shape, click "Continue" and complete the order!
