Give Forests Back to the Earth – under this name, the WWF works to preserve ecosystems, protect endangered species, and safeguard global biodiversity. Photogift.eu understands the impact of human activity on the environment and supports the WWF’s mission to create a world where people and nature live in harmony. That’s why we print using eco-solvent inks – free from harmful fumes and substances that are excessively damaging to humans, animals, and the environment. The wood we process is FSC-certified wherever possible. In addition, we use recycled materials, ensure separate waste streams, and continuously improve our logistics for greater efficiency. Our Photogeschenk Gallery in IJsselmuiden has been built entirely from repurposed materials.
A forest is far more than just a collection of trees. It is a balanced ecosystem of trees, plants, and animals – mammals, birds, and insects – all depending on one another to survive. Across the globe, the climate is warming, and the effects of climate change are increasingly visible. Not only in faraway places, but also here in Europe we face storms, prolonged droughts, and record-breaking heat.
For humans too, forests are vital. They provide food, regulate water systems, and are a crucial ally in the fight against climate change. Trees store COâ‚‚ in their trunks, roots, and in the soil. Sadly, forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. The main drivers of deforestation are agriculture, livestock farming, mining, and infrastructure projects.
In the Atlantic Rainforest – a breathtaking region stretching across Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay – the WWF is working to protect and restore woodland. This area is home to an extraordinary range of wildlife and more than 400 tree species. Yet, over 80% of its forest cover has already been lost.
With our financial support, the WWF is able to plant new trees, working towards the ambitious goal of 1 trillion trees worldwide by 2050. This vision is about creating living, climate-resilient forests that will continue to thrive – keeping the Earth habitable for both people and animals. In the process, soils are restored and native seedlings are sustainably grown, planted, and nurtured. As a Business Supporter, we proudly contribute alongside the WWF and other companies to the fight against climate change and the preservation of biodiversity.
