Ayous wood is a premium, knot-free wood type that lends every photo a clean and warm appearance. The 19 mm thick planks have a soft grain and consistent surface, making them ideal for high-resolution photo prints. Unlike many other wood types, ayous ensures that no knots or strong grain patterns interfere with important photo elements like faces or text.

Photogift is one of the few true specialists in Europe working with ayous wood for more than five years. Thanks to our experience and gallery-grade print technology, we are able to bring out the full potential of this extraordinary material – resulting in a luxurious, art-quality finish.

Always with white wash – natural look only on request

To ensure the best possible result, we always apply a white wash primer before printing. This guarantees accurate colour reproduction across the entire surface. A fully natural version, where white areas in your design show as wood, is available upon request – please email info@photogift.eu. This option is not available via the online editor.

Panel dimensions and wall effect

Your photo is printed across multiple vertical planks of approx. 10 cm width. During ordering, you’ll see a live preview showing the exact position of the lines, helping you keep eyes, mouths, or other key details away from seams. Small deviations in width may occur due to natural variation. The back is equipped with horizontal wooden battens, creating a floating effect a few centimetres off the wall.

Large format delivery by our own network

For sizes from 80×120 cm and up, we offer secure delivery via our own logistics network. We deliver twice a week in the Amsterdam area and once weekly across the Netherlands and Belgium. We’ll always contact you in advance to coordinate a smooth delivery.
